When it Comes to Championing Important Causes, It Takes a Village

When it comes to championing causes that are important to one another and to society at large, the team at FTX.US—a leading cryptocurrency exchange—believes that taking the time to listen and learn can be great tools in effectively spreading awareness of critical issues that matter; recognizing that just one conversation can hold the power to ignite change in the lives of those who may be unable to speak up for themselves.

“We believe that most people really do care about the cause, but that they're just unaware of the struggles those on the spectrum may face or how to help. You can’t effectively work on a problem you don’t know exists, and by participating in Wall Street Rides FAR, we are hoping to start a conversation and spread awareness of autism spectrum disorder (ASD),” said Sina Nader, Chief Operating Officer at FTX.US. “Not everyone may be in the position to donate, but there’s infinite power in just taking the time to educate ourselves and our peers.”

A dedicated sponsor of Wall Street Rides FAR and of the critical mission of the Autism Science Foundation, Team FTX.US is looking forward to participating in the Ride this October for the chance to not only support this worthy initiative but to also take a moment to reconnect with one another after being physically separated due to the circumstances of the past year. Nader also notes that the team looks forward to the opportunity to learn more about their deeper individual reasons for wanting to participate.

“The majority of us have been working from home the past year, and a lot of our team members haven’t had the chance to meet one another in person. We’re excited to meet up and of course begin conversations about such an important topic, and to also discuss the ways some of our team members have been affected by their personal connections to autism,” said Nader. “We cannot think of a better way to get together—some of us virtually and some safely in person—than to support a worthy cause such as Wall Street Rides FAR. We’re hoping to learn more about each other and about the ways we can contribute to raising awareness for autism and autism research.”

Founded with the goal of having a positive impact on the world via charitable giving, the team at FTX.US shares that participating in the Ride and supporting the incredible work and cutting-edge research enabled by the Autism Science Foundation fits perfectly in line with its mission to support those in need. Likewise, Nader notes the Ride is a chance for the team to collaborate outside the exchange floor.

“Each person on our team offers a unique perspective and by collaborating we can become more educated and supportive colleagues. Every FTX team member has something that is important to them, and we want to make sure we show up for one another when it counts,” said Nader.

When it comes to promoting and championing causes like WSRF, Team FTX.US extends the spirit of collaboration and camaraderie to the entire financial services community, with the strong belief that it takes a village—with the combined efforts of all market participants coming together—to invoke significant and lasting change.

“Capitalism, competition, and the free market can all be wonderful aspects of society, but it cannot exist without participation from the whole community. While we are categorized as rivals with other companies in the space, the onus is on all of us to come together to support and advocate for each member of our community,” added Nader. “With this at front of mind, we are thrilled to be riding alongside other firms and friends on Wall Street and beyond.”
