Team GTS

Riding to Build a Better Future

For organizations determined to make a lasting impact, being responsible stewards is a key component of how they do business and interact with society at large. For the team at GTS—a market maker in equities, ETFs, commodities, futures, foreign exchange and interest rate products—these values are at the heart of the firm’s operations, with its commitment to building a better future extending well beyond its work in the financial space.

“GTS is dedicated to practicing responsibility in all of our efforts, and we feel this deep sense of responsibility to the markets, our clients, our people and to our community,” said Sandy Lionetti, Global Head of Human Resources at GTS. “Driven by this commitment and our core values, it only felt right to get involved in Wall Street Rides FAR, an event which has changed the lives of those living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).”

A committed sponsor of the Ride for several years, GTS is greatly looking forward to fielding its first-ever team of riders this October and gathering in Saxon Woods Park to support the critical mission of the Autism Science Foundation. Acutely aware of the isolating impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had, particularly on those with ASD, Team GTS is ready to pedal for a great cause.

“We are all longing for the important personal touchpoints with colleagues that largely haven’t been possible during work from home, and we couldn’t imagine a better reason or setting in which to come together again after the events of the past year,” said Lionetti.

“The pandemic, which has had such a severe effect on those with ASD, has certainly reinforced the importance of helping others and taking a proactive role in improving the health and well-being of those in the world around us.”

“Wall Street has the power to improve peoples’ lives in many ways, both from a business perspective and philanthropically. At GTS, we are committed to using our position to help build a better future for all, and we feel strongly that the amazing work enabled by the Autism Science Foundation aligns with this commitment,” added Lionetti.

Despite any rivalries that may be present during the trading day, GTS is a strong supporter of events that bring together the wider capital markets community and is delighted to be involved and lend its support to this important cause.

“While we may be rivals with other participating firms by day, nothing is more important than coming together to support and promote worthy causes like autism research,” said Lionetti. “It’s remarkable to see how the Wall Street community has come together to grow this amazing event since the first Ride, and how much meaningful work has been accomplished.”
